Transparency
Every financial transaction for Homeowner.org.nz is published in real time. No off-book money. No private side arrangements. No undisclosed benefits. Applying the same transparency standard to ourselves that we apply to the industry we observe.
Why we do this
This site's critique of industry opacity — undisclosed provider markups, filtered information flows, symbolic rather than substantive compliance — is only credible if the site itself is radically transparent. If we cannot meet the standard we demand of others, we are part of the problem Edelman 1992 described as "symbolic compliance."
Radical transparency is therefore not an aspiration. It is a non-negotiable commitment in the constitution. This page is how it is operationalised.

Every entry above is a real transaction. When revenue flows begin (first member subscriptions after soft launch), they will appear here the same day. Receipts are held for inspection and will be linked from each entry.
How we handle money
- Founder takes zero money. No salary, no expenses, no equity distribution. Ever. This is constitution-bound, not a current-phase choice.
- Member fees are cost-recovery only. The $40 / 2 months subscription covers AI inference and infrastructure cost, nothing else.
- Surplus → lower fees. Any surplus reduces the next fee cycle. No retained earnings accrue for private benefit.
- Deficit → raise fees, or absorb temporarily. Early deficits (hosting, dev) are absorbed by founder contribution which is documented but not repayable.
- Zero industry money. No commission, referral fee, or paid placement from real estate agents, agencies, or industry trade bodies. Ever.
What is not yet in the ledger
Homeowner.org.nz is in pre-launch phase. The ledger currently shows only setup expenses (domain registration). Once soft launch begins:
- Member subscription revenue will post on the day received.
- AI inference costs will post weekly from AgentTeam invoices.
- Infrastructure costs (Cloudflare, Supabase, monitoring) will post monthly.
- Any other revenue (grants, donations) will post with source disclosed.
